    Emergency situations occasionally arise which may require school schedule delays, closures, or changes in transportation.  If you feel that weather conditions may cause delays or school closures, please tune in to the following radio/television stations for announcements beginning at 6:00 a.m.
     
    Television:  KING  Channel 5               Radio:  KIRO AM 710
                        KIRO  Channel 7                          KOMO AM 1000
                       KOMO Channel 4
     
    You may also call the school at 796-4646, and listen to one of the following announcements:
     
    1.  "Brinnon School District #46 - Closed"
     
    This means no buses are running.  All school programs and activities for that day are canceled.  NO HIGH SCHOOL OR OUT-OF-DISTRICT TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED.
     
    2.  "Brinnon School District #46 - Regular Routes Delayed 2 Hours.  All K-8 Students come in on that Bus Run."
     
    This means that buses will attempt to run the entire routes, but the pickup times will be 2 hours late.
     
    If buses cannot make individual stops, the school district will attempt to contact parents at the phone numbers provided to the district.   NO HIGH SCHOOL OR OUT-OF-DISTRICT TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED.
     
    3.  'Brinnon School  District #46 - Regular Routes Delayed 2 Hours with Limited Transportation"
     
    South Bus Run:  Will transport students only as far as Black Point.  Parents of students beyond Black Point may meet the bus at the intersection of Black Point Road and Highway 101 in the morning at 9:30 am and in the afternoon at 3:20.
     
    North Bus Run:  Will transport students only as far as Seal Rock Road.  Parents of students beyond Seal Rock may met the bus at the intersection of Seal Rock Road and Highway 101 in the morning at 9:35 am and in the afternoon at 3:20 pm.   NO HIGH SCHOOL OR OUT-OF-DISTRICT TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED.  PRESCHOOL WILL BE CANCELED. 
     
    4. IN THE EVENT THAT QUILCENE HIGH SCHOOL HAS A 2 HOUR DELAY OR OTHER UNPLANNED SCHEDULE CHANGES - NO HIGH SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED.
     
    In the case of extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances we may dismiss and transport students home early.  We may also abort or alter a bus run that is already in progress.  We will make every attempt to notify parents as soon as a decision is made regarding the time of dismissal or aborted route.  If no one is home to receive the student, the school and the parent will make an alternative plan.  Parents please make sure that the school has current emergency contact information so we can call that person if we cannot reach you.  School staff will remain at the school until proper arrangements have been made for every child.  Thank you for your flexibility and understanding during extreme weather conditions.  In the event of school closures, a make up day is scheduled for May 23rd, 2014, June 13, 2014 and June 16, 2014.
